MEET AARON

NEW LEADERSHIP DELIVERING RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY

Born in Millersburg, Ohio to Bob and Brenda Reining. Aaron's family has been rooted here in Homes County ever since his grandfather Paul F. Reining moved here, bringing the Inn Maid Noodle Company with him from Smithville, Ohio in the middle of the 20th century. He is also a confirmed follower of Faith Lutheran Church located in Millersburg, Ohio.

While attending West Holmes, he was an active member of the Academic Challenge Team, Marching and Symphonic Band. Even awarded as an Outstanding Delegate and elected Council President at Ohio Model United Nations, and granted the prestigious privilage of attending the contested Buckeye Boys State Program where he served as Director of the Department of Aging. Proudly today, he now councils for Boys State, a week long government simulation program generously sponsored by the American Legion, to whom much of his interest and respect for running a local government is owed.

After High School, Aaron has attended Ohio University in Athens where he studies History and Political Science, in time, he plans to aquire a degree in German as well. During his time OU, he takes around 18-20 credit hours a semester while balancing a 15-20 hour job at one of the dining halls on campus. Never one to stray from local government, Aaron has even taken a vibrant role in Athens Government, not afraid to stand up to the liberal City Council presently at large.

During the summer, he's worked a wide vairety of jobs, from pizza delivery and preperation to traveling and selling syrups at farmers markets across Ohio, as well as being a guest service representitive at the Berlin Grande Hotel.

Over the years, Aaron has grown to love our home here in the rolling hills that we've made into paradise. Admittedly, growing up he always wanted to leave, but every time he did, his appreciation and admiration of the simplicty back home left him longing to return. That's why he's decided to run, to turn the part time job of being County Commissioner into a full time job. This County deserves a conservative leader who is diligent and innovative, one who has the skills and mindset to grow our Holmes. That leader, is Aaron E. Reining.
