The biggest concern of mine is voter and constituent support. If elected, my office will be open and transparent so that I may better serve the hardworking folks in the county.
I was born and raised in Holmes County. I care deeply about our home and the hardworking people who live in it. I believe that what benefits the folks here in Holmes County is faith in the American Dream. My family and I are children of the American Dream; my Grandfather Paul Reining founded Inn maid Noodles, becoming a great job creator and a large figure of the community. I believe Holmes needs leadership that will renew this faith and the principles that drive it, small government, freedom, a local focus and keeping a balanced budget.
GROWING LIST OF ISSUES
County Home
The residents of Holmes County are truly a united and caring community. It is imperitive that our loving family members that live at the County Home are adequitely taken care of. As Holmes County sits upon a budget surplus, it is our obligation to ensure that all residents and care providers are granted adequite funds, ways, and means of maintaining the best care within our budget. If elected, I will fight to ensure the well-being and preservation of the County Home and to promise that those among our community will recieve the best care possible in their time of need.
Budget
We believe that there should be restraint upon the governments collection of our hard earned income, currently Holmes County sits upon millions of dollars of surplus. I plan to cap that budget, while returning whatever we can as conservatively as possible. If elected, I will keep the best interests of the hard working citizens in mind.
Small Business
I believe that locally-owned small businesses are the major economic driver of our county. If elected, I will work as an advocate for small business by reducing burdensome regulations, as well as continue the county's partnership with the tourism bureau to blossom our growing and near world-renowned tourism industry.
